Why read my thoughts?
First off, you probably know me in real life and want to see what is up and what I’m thinking about these days. If not, nice to meet you!
Life is indeed a curious thing, and I am passionate about caring for each other in a turbulent world, I think in pictures, and I do my best to raise our loving family while living in “interesting times”. I write about a variety of topics about whatever I happen to think is worthy of my limited time. Politics is personal, and so I touch on that quite a bit, trying to bring stories to life. I look forward to creating a community here, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
About Beatrice:
I have been online, building and designing websites, and taking photographs since the mid-1990s. Yeah, I’m a dinosaur, but I keep on keeping up with tech as best as I can. I love writing and I also think in pictures, so you can expect a fair amount of photography spliced into my writing.
When asked to fill out bios I try to keep it short and sweet. I describe myself as: woman, myself, mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, immigrant, website builder, photographer, digital doula, geek, teacher, learner, observer, & participant.
I grew up in both the USA and the UK, have lived in a handful of different countries (US, UK, FR, AR & now the NL) and know five languages, but my neurons are not as plastic as they used to be, so things don’t come as easily as before. I left the USA in 2006 and cannot believe I have been gone so many years. My mind and thinking have definitely been opened by my travels. I like to think that minds and parachutes are the same, they only work when they are open.
